Bennet Ratcliff

Town Board Candidate in Woodstock, NY

Download my position paper.

I am running for the Woodstock Town Board to help create a community that values the environment, the arts, social and economic justice. I believe Woodstock can:

1. Lead the way in reducing carbon use and lowering emissions.

2. Create a community where artists, musicians, and writers can live affordably and work successfully.

3. Take down systemic barriers of racial, gender, and economic privilege that have existed for centuries in our town, region, state, and country.

Woodstock has already passed a Comprehensive Plan that supports these efforts. Now, it's up to us to do them! I have experience working with others on the Onteora School Board, the Woodstock Democratic Committee, and the Secret City arts organization. I live in Bearsville with my partner Jackie Kellachan and our blended family of three boys, three girls, two dogs, and a cat. My Catskill nature writing and photos are published in Hudson Valley One.
